This observational study will measure IL-6 and lactate levels in the blood of 160 full-term pregnant women and their newborns. Researchers want to see if these levels can help identify early signs of fetal infection or inflammation, especially when combined with heart rate patterns from a fetal monitor. The goal is to improve how doctors detect and treat at-risk newborns.
