New combo therapy aims to restore arm movement in stroke survivors
NCT ID NCT07513714
First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding functional electrical stimulation (FES) to task-oriented training improves arm and hand function in people who have had a stroke and still have muscle tightness. About 40 adults who have already received Botox for arm spasticity will be randomly assigned to either FES plus training or training alone. The goal is to see if the combination leads to better dexterity and strength.
