Feeding tube test aims to help ventilator patients get better nutrition
NCT ID NCT07362537
Summary
This study is testing whether placing feeding tubes into the stomach versus further into the small intestine works better for patients with severe lung failure who are on ventilators lying face down. Researchers will compare how well patients can receive their nutritional goals and track recovery measures like infection rates and time spent on the ventilator. The goal is to find the safest and most effective way to feed these critically ill patients to support their recovery.
