MS fatigue mystery: scientists hunt for immune cell link

NCT ID NCT07182903

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a certain type of immune cell (cytotoxic CD4+ T cells) is connected to fatigue in people with multiple sclerosis (MS). 34 adults with MS took part. Researchers measured fatigue using questionnaires and physical tasks, then checked blood samples for these cells. The goal was to better understand what causes MS fatigue, not to test a treatment.
