Could a Fasting-Mimicking diet ease harsh cancer treatment side effects?

NCT ID NCT06438588

Summary

This study is testing whether a special low-calorie, plant-based diet can help reduce the side effects that cancer patients experience during immunotherapy. The diet, which mimics fasting, will be given to 10 patients with advanced cancer who are receiving specific immunotherapy drugs. Researchers want to see if this diet can lessen symptoms like severe diarrhea, skin rash, and fatigue, and improve patients' quality of life.
