Summary
This study looks at whether a bedside ultrasound called FAST can safely lower the number of CT scans needed for children with blunt belly injuries. About 4,346 kids under 18 will be randomly assigned to get either standard care or standard care plus a FAST exam. The goal is to see if the ultrasound helps doctors decide who truly needs a CT, reducing radiation exposure while still catching serious injuries.
