Scientists track elderly to crack the code on deadly falls
NCT ID NCT07437690
Summary
This study aims to understand why older adults with muscle loss (sarcopenia) and arthritis are at high risk for falls, which can lead to serious injuries like hip fractures. Researchers will closely observe 50 Italian participants aged 65+ to identify the key factors—like balance, strength, and pain—that contribute to falling. The goal is to use this information to design better, personalized programs to prevent falls in the future.
