Summary

This study is testing whether a special chewing gum containing galactooligosaccharides (GOS) can help overweight adults lower their body mass index (BMI) and improve their metabolism. Researchers will also look at how the gum affects bacteria in the mouth and gut. The study involves 120 overweight adults aged 25 and older who have at least one metabolic risk factor, such as high blood sugar or cholesterol.
