Which eye shot works best before cataract surgery for diabetics?
NCT ID NCT03832179
Summary
This study compared two types of eye injections given one week before cataract surgery in diabetic patients who already had eye swelling. Researchers wanted to see which injection (anti-VEGF drugs like Avastin or Lucentis versus the steroid Ozurdex) better controlled swelling after surgery. They measured eye thickness and vision in 16 participants for three months after their procedures.
