Could insulin eye drops help save vision?

NCT ID NCT05206877

Summary

This early-stage study is testing whether applying insulin directly to the eye as a drop is safe for people with glaucoma and other optic nerve conditions. Researchers will enroll 52 participants to use the drops for 1-2 months while closely monitoring for any side effects. The study will also check if the treatment has any effect on vision or the thickness of the retina.
