First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study checked 152 children and adults with hereditary ichthyosis for hidden eye problems, like early signs of keratoconus (a cone-shaped cornea) and dry eye. Researchers used special scans to measure the shape and clarity of the cornea. The goal was to find out how common these eye issues are in people with ichthyosis, helping doctors watch for and treat them sooner.
