ICU tube removal study: to suction or not to suction?

Summary
This study looks at whether suctioning the breathing tube before removing it helps ICU patients maintain better oxygen levels. About 120 adults who have been on a breathing machine for over 48 hours will take part. Researchers will compare oxygen levels three hours after tube removal between those who received suctioning and those who did not.
