First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study looks at whether using suction when removing a breathing tube helps ICU patients breathe better afterward. About 120 adults who have been on a breathing machine for over 48 hours will take part. Researchers will check oxygen levels for three hours after tube removal to see if suctioning makes a difference.
