First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a soft suction device placed on the chest can help preterm babies breathe better while they receive surfactant (a lung medication) through a thin tube. About 25 babies born at 32 weeks or later will be enrolled. The goal is to see if this method is safe and reduces breathing problems like low oxygen or slow heart rate during the procedure.
