First seen May 13, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looked at whether giving insulin over a longer period (extended bolus) helps control blood sugar after high-fat, high-protein meals in teens with type 1 diabetes. Thirty teens aged 13-19 who already use a closed-loop insulin system took part. The goal was to see if this approach reduces high blood sugar after meals and prevents low blood sugar.
