First seen Apr 16, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This program provides access to the VT-X7 system, which delivers antibiotics directly into the joint through a pump over 7 days, for people with a serious infection around a hip or knee replacement who have not gotten better with standard treatments. It is for adults aged 22 to 84 who are scheduled for surgery to remove and replace the infected implant. The goal is to control the infection when no other options are available.
