New talk therapy aims to ease End-of-Life distress in cancer patients

Summary

This study tests a new short-term talk therapy called ORPHYS for people with advanced cancer who feel deep fear, hopelessness, or loneliness. About 160 patients will be randomly assigned to receive ORPHYS or standard support. The goal is to see if ORPHYS better reduces emotional distress and improves quality of life.
