Can a jog replace a sleep app? new study tests exercise against digital therapy for insomnia
NCT ID NCT06636006
First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looks at whether aerobic exercise can help college students with insomnia as much as a digital therapy program. Fifty students will be split into two groups: one will do aerobic exercise, and the other will use a digital cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) program. Researchers will measure sleep quality, anxiety, depression, and stress using questionnaires. The goal is to see if exercise offers similar benefits to digital CBT-I for improving sleep and mood.
