Brain scans reveal how exercise changes Veterans' food cravings under stress
NCT ID NCT06627569
Summary
This VA study aims to understand how a 12-week exercise program affects brain activity when viewing food images and responding to stress. Researchers will compare inactive, overweight veterans who exercise four times weekly to those continuing usual activities, using brain scans and hormone measurements. The goal is to learn how exercise might influence stress-related eating behaviors through biological pathways.
