Scientists test if rest breaks make knee exercises more effective

NCT ID NCT06857123

Summary

This small pilot study aims to see if it's practical to test two different exercise schedules for people with knee osteoarthritis. Twenty participants will be randomly assigned to do the same exercises either with short breaks or with two longer 45-minute rests during each session. Researchers will check if they can recruit enough people safely and will measure changes in walking, knee images, strength, and fluid samples before and after the 12-week program.
