Scientists test if rest breaks make knee exercises more effective

NCT ID NCT06857123

Summary

This small pilot study aims to understand how different exercise schedules affect knee cartilage in people with osteoarthritis. Twenty participants with knee arthritis will follow a 12-week exercise program, with one group taking standard short breaks and another taking longer 45-minute rests. Researchers will use MRIs, strength tests, and fluid samples to compare how cartilage responds to these two approaches.
