First seen Apr 12, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tests whether a 3-month program of aerobic and resistance exercises can improve physical reserve in 224 frail older adults living in the community. The goal is to see if building physical strength helps protect thinking skills and daily function, even when there are signs of brain aging. Participants will be randomly assigned to either the exercise program or usual care.
