Moving after healing: exercise trial aims to boost mobility in diabetic foot ulcer survivors
NCT ID NCT06894563
First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study tests whether a gradual exercise program, starting at a center and then moving to home, can help people aged 50 and older with a recently healed diabetic foot ulcer walk farther and improve strength without causing the ulcer to come back. The goal is to reduce the high risk of death from heart problems linked to poor mobility in this group. Sixty participants will try the program to see if it is practical and effective.
