Summary
This study tested whether a 12-week intensive exercise program could improve brain function and overall health in middle-aged and older adults with type 2 diabetes. Researchers enrolled 58 participants, assigning some to the exercise program and others to continue their usual care. The goal was to see if combining aerobic and resistance training could help manage diabetes-related risks to thinking, metabolism, and physical fitness.
