Summary

This study tests whether adding a physical therapy program—with gentle exercise and health education—to standard care can improve quality of life for adults hospitalized with major depression. Fifty participants will do twice-weekly sessions of mobility, strength, balance, and relaxation exercises. The goal is to see if this approach is helpful and well-received by patients and staff.
