Scientists probe why exercise turns dangerous for diabetics
NCT ID NCT07228208
Summary
This study aims to understand why people with type 2 diabetes often experience dangerous blood pressure spikes during exercise, which increases their risk of heart attacks and strokes. Researchers will measure blood pressure, heart rate, and blood vessel function in 40 participants during handgrip exercises to identify the underlying causes. The findings could lead to new approaches to make exercise safer and more beneficial for people living with diabetes.
