Can a workout before treatment help cancer patients cope better?
NCT ID NCT05418842
Summary
This study tested whether a short exercise program before starting cancer treatment could help patients with head and neck cancer. Forty-seven patients were split into two groups: one did exercise training for at least two weeks before chemo and radiation, while the other received usual care. Researchers measured if the exercise helped patients walk farther, stay stronger, and feel better during their tough cancer treatment.
