Workout before treatment may boost cancer Patients' strength
NCT ID NCT05418842
Summary
This study tested whether a short exercise program before starting cancer treatment helps patients with head and neck cancer. Forty-seven adults scheduled for combined chemotherapy and radiation were randomly assigned to either do exercise training or receive usual care for at least two weeks before treatment. Researchers measured walking ability, strength, quality of life, and treatment side effects to see if exercise helped patients better tolerate their cancer therapy.
