First seen Apr 20, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a 12-week exercise program helps women who had sleeve gastrectomy surgery improve their body composition and metabolism. Twenty women who had surgery at least 3 months prior participated. They did either aerobic exercise alone or a mix of aerobic and strength training. The goal was to see if exercise helps preserve muscle, boost metabolism, and improve blood sugar levels after surgery.
