NCT ID NCT05961982
First seen Apr 06, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tests a procedure called endoscopic ultrasound-guided radiofrequency ablation (EUS-RFA) to treat pancreatic cysts that have a high risk of turning into cancer. The goal is to shrink these cysts by at least half using heat energy delivered through a thin needle, avoiding major surgery. About 84 adults with pancreatic cysts at least 2 cm in size and showing concerning features will be enrolled. The approach aims to control the disease and reduce the need for frequent monitoring, but it is not a cure.
