First seen Jan 25, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study tests an experimental nasal spray called etripamil for people with atrial fibrillation (AFib) who experience episodes of dangerously fast heart rate. Participants will use the spray at home when symptoms start, with an optional second dose if needed. The goal is to see if the spray can safely and quickly slow the heart rate within 30 minutes, compared to a placebo. The study involves 750 adults with a history of AFib and rapid heart rate.
