Scientists test shot to stop stomach bug in its tracks

NCT ID NCT06692907

Summary

This study is testing a new vaccine designed to prevent moderate-to-severe diarrhea caused by a common bacteria called ETEC, which often causes 'traveler's diarrhea.' Healthy adult volunteers will receive either the vaccine or a placebo shot. Later, they will be intentionally exposed to the bacteria in a controlled setting to see if the vaccine protects them from getting sick.
