Nerve block volume may cut opioid use after hysterectomy

Summary
This study tested whether using different amounts of numbing medicine in a back muscle injection (erector spinae plane block) could reduce pain and the need for morphine after a hysterectomy. 80 adults having the surgery took part. The goal was to find the best volume for better pain control and less opioid use in the first 24 hours after surgery.
