First seen Mar 21, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tests whether a special nerve block (erector spinae plane block) can lower the amount of strong painkillers (opioids) needed after open abdominal surgery. About 46 adults having surgery under general anesthesia will take part. The goal is to see if the block helps control pain and reduces the need for extra pain medication.
