Mapping Cancer's hidden pathways to sharpen surgical knives
NCT ID NCT07165184
Summary
This study aims to gather information to help surgeons make better decisions. Researchers will observe 1,100 patients with esophageal cancer to see how often the cancer spreads to a specific set of lymph nodes near the windpipe. The goal is to identify which patients are most at risk for this spread, which could help doctors decide whether removing these nodes during surgery is necessary or could be safely avoided to reduce complications.
