Depression-Busting drug tested during breast cancer surgery

Summary
This study looks at whether giving esketamine during breast cancer surgery can help reduce severe depression and anxiety in patients. About 242 women with severe depression will be randomly assigned to receive esketamine or a placebo during their operation. Researchers will measure mood changes using standard questionnaires before and after surgery.
