First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study looks at whether ertugliflozin, a diabetes drug, can help people with chronic heart failure manage fluid buildup better than standard treatments. About 60 adults on daily water pills will receive either ertugliflozin, metolazone, or a placebo. Researchers will measure changes in blood volume and sodium levels over 7 days and 6 weeks to see if the drug improves fluid balance without causing dehydration.
