First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looks at whether adding ertugliflozin (a diabetes drug) or metolazone to standard water pills can better control fluid buildup and improve symptoms in people with chronic heart failure. About 60 adults with heart failure who already take daily water pills will be randomly assigned to one of the three add-on treatments. The goal is to see which approach reduces fluid overload more safely and effectively.
