First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 03, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding ertugliflozin (a diabetes drug) or metolazone to standard diuretics helps control fluid buildup and heart failure symptoms better than placebo. About 60 adults with chronic heart failure who already take daily diuretics will participate. Researchers will measure changes in blood volume and sodium excretion over 7 days and 6 weeks.
