New injection may ease back pain for ankylosing spondylitis patients

NCT ID NCT07633730

First seen Jun 17, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a nerve block injection (erector spinae plane block) can reduce persistent back pain in people with ankylosing spondylitis whose disease is otherwise under control. About 15 adults aged 18-65 will receive the injection and report pain levels. The goal is to see if this simple procedure can offer extra relief when standard treatments aren't enough.
