First seen May 16, 2026 · Last updated Jun 07, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a special nerve block, called an erector spinae plane block, can help people recover better after lumbar spinal stabilization surgery. The goal was to reduce pain and the need for strong painkillers like opioids. Fifty adults who had this surgery received the block, and researchers measured their pain scores and how long they stayed in the hospital.
