New app aims to give epilepsy patients a voice at the Doctor's office

NCT ID NCT05928598

Summary

This study is testing whether a tablet app called the 'Epilepsy Visit Planner' helps patients with drug-resistant epilepsy communicate better with their doctors during clinic visits. About 150 adult patients at the University of Michigan will either use the app in the waiting room or receive usual care. Researchers will measure if the app improves how patients feel about their conversations with doctors and their overall quality of life.
