Summary

This study tests a new device that records brain activity and delivers small electrical pulses to prevent seizures in people with epilepsy that doesn't respond to medication. The device is used externally (not implanted) in a hospital setting. The goal is to see if the system can reliably detect seizure-related brain signals and deliver stimulation safely. This is an early feasibility study with 8 participants, not yet testing whether it actually stops seizures.
