Brain wiring under siege: seizures may reshape Kids' neural networks
NCT ID NCT03268824
First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study looks at how seizures change the brain's wiring in children with hard-to-control focal epilepsy. Researchers will use special brain recordings and MRI scans to measure connections in areas where seizures start. The goal is to understand how ongoing seizure activity affects brain structure, not to test a new treatment. About 82 children will take part.
