First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Trial info

This early-phase trial tested whether an experimental drug called Engensis (VM202) is safe when injected into the weakened leg muscles of people with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 1A (CMT1A). Twelve adults with mild to moderate CMT1A received multiple injections over 270 days. Researchers monitored side effects and measured changes in nerve function to see if the treatment might help control the disease.
