Summary

This study is for people who have had a stroke caused by a blockage in the main artery in the neck. It compares standard medical treatment alone to standard treatment plus a procedure to open the blocked artery. The goal is to see if the procedure helps more people recover with little or no disability 90 days later. About 200 adults with mild to severe stroke symptoms will take part.
