NCT ID NCT07508345
First seen Apr 08, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looked at whether counting certain cells in the blood (called CECs) before a stem cell transplant can help predict if a patient will develop acute graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), a serious complication. Researchers enrolled 50 adults receiving their first stem cell transplant for blood cancer. The goal was to see if this blood test could identify high-risk patients early, but the study was observational and did not test a new treatment.
