First seen Jan 27, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This early study tests a new, non-surgical procedure called endoscopic Gastric Mucosal Ablation (GMA) for weight loss in 15 people with obesity. The procedure uses a tool to treat the stomach lining, aiming to mimic some effects of weight loss surgery without incisions. The main goal is to see if it is safe and how much weight participants lose over 6 months.
