Blueberry compound joins hormone therapy in fight against uterine cancer

Summary
This study tests whether adding pterostilbene (an antioxidant from blueberries) to the hormone drug megestrol acetate works better than megestrol alone in treating endometrial cancer or precancerous changes. About 44 women scheduled for hysterectomy will receive the treatment before surgery. Researchers will measure tumor cell growth and tissue changes to see which approach is more effective.
