Summary
This study is building a large registry of 3,000 people with emphysema or COPD, plus a control group without lung disease. Researchers will collect DNA, lung function tests, and medical history to better understand the disease and identify candidates for future treatment trials. No experimental treatments are given—this is purely for research and future study planning.
